Another Storm Approaches

A man who gave his name only as Doug stands in front of a line of Dallas Police on horseback as Occupy Dallas is evicted early Thursday morning from their campsite across from Dallas City Hall on Nov. 17, 2011. Protesters were given repeated messages to leave the premises and were told they would be allowed to return to collect their property if they left voluntarily. A handful of protesters decided to stay behind and were arrested.

Competitors haul themselves, flags, and beer into the air to celebrate Independence Day and show their patriotism as part of the Iron Man competition. In the Iron Man, a Hermosa Beach 4th of July tradition for 32 years, participants must run a mile, paddle board a mile, then chug a six-pack of beer, awards are given to those who do not puke - and those who puke the best.

RBPD officer Blake Nimmons arrests a man allegedly involved in the stabbing of another man on July 4, 2007 in Redondo Beach, Calif. Officers responded to the Pier area at about 11:50 p.m. regarding the stabbing. Three suspects matching the description given by the victim were stopped near the Crown Plaza by an officer, identified and taken into custody.
