Campaigning is a dance – organized chaos – lots of repetition, I’m enjoying looking for the different things now away from the pack.

With the sixth floor museum in the background, Teresa Guerrero, who was eight years old when JFK died, left, her mother Maria Ortiz, whose birthday is that of the assassination, right, and Jose Ortiz, rear, reflect during a moment of silence to commemorate the JFK assassination at Dealey Plaza on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in Dallas. Teresa and Maria were living in Acuna, Mexico when JFK died but remember learning of his death from neighbors and the radio reports that followed. "It seemed like the world stopped," Guerrero said. "Even in Mexico... everyone was crying. Now every year, we celebrate our mother, but we remember what happened to JFK." (Patrick T. Fallon/The Dallas Morning News)

Worked on this project back in August, have finally had the time to sit down and work on an edit of it. I’m not sure if three months is really enough time to show the difference and change that has taken place, but I plan to shoot this again after a few more months to a year has passed. Still can’t believe how there is almost nothing left in places that were filled with debris… Inspired by the blog, “Dear Photograph.”

Double-header today – NFL football – then World Series. With Dallas teams playing both the St. Louis Rams and Cardinals, there is a lot of fan-feature coverage to be had about the rivals.

Was assigned to shoot some feature stills – but thought a little bit of video might be nice, so busted out the iPhone 4 too.

Crew members (from left to right) William Philpot, Mario Vargas, Patric Powell, and Jovan Vargas paint the World Series 2011 logo on the grass at Rangers Ballpark in preparation for Game 3 of the World Series baseball game between the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 in Arlington, Tx. A stencil is initially used to trace the outline of the logo, which is then filled in with paint. (Patrick T. Fallon/The Dallas Morning News)

I wasn’t in Detroit for Game 5 of the ALCS, but none the less, the mood in Dallas was… depressed. Went out to Victory Plaza which would have been filled with fans if they were winning, but less than a handful showed up.

Texas Rangers fans Annai Gonzalez and Celso Briones watch the Rangers lose to Detroit in Game 5 of the ALCS baseball game in Victory Plaza at the American Airlines Center on October 13, 2011 in Dallas. The pair was among a small handful that showed up to watch the game after dinner nearby "I thought more people were going to be here. We expected a decent sized crowd," Briones said. (Patrick T.
